Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a unique, nontraditional form of psychotherapy that helps diminish negative feelings associated with traumatic events. Unlike most talk therapy, EMDR focuses less on the traumatic event itself and more on disturbing emotions that result from the event (Psychology Today, 2021). EMDR can also help treat anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most researched and effective therapies. It involves challenging unhelpful and unwanted thoughts and behavior patterns, and developing more helpful patterns instead. CBT can be used for treating depression, anxiety, panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger issues, trauma, and other mental health issues.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

TF-CBT is an evidenced based treatment that focuses on specific emotional and mental health needs of trauma survivors. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple, and complex trauma experiences (tfcbt.org, 2020).
